About Me

William Gaboury has been a music composer and a record producer for more than twelve years now and has created a network around him that is filled with great people and talented artists. William's career was jump started by working with his mentor, Guy Tourville, one of the greatest music producers in Canada. It is with him that William learned the technical aspects and the artistic needs of recording music and production. He worked with M. Tourville for seven years at the Tangerine Studio. Simultaneously, William wanted to deepen his understanding of music so he took masterclasses with an orchestrator named Gilles Ouellet who has worked with the legends such as David Foster, George Martin, Céline Dion, Diane Dufresne, and many others. It was with M. Ouellet that William learned how to work with a real orchestra and where he learned that music is only present to serve the picture. These classes inspired his high interest in film scoring. In 2014, William started composing and producing music on his own for film, TV and artists in Canada. He also founded his own record label.

“To really know each individual that I work with is something crucial in my creative process. When I work on a song, my goal is that it can be listen and loved by the many. I absolutely cherish the fact that artists come to my studio and that I can make their vision come into sounds.”

William Gaboury, mixeur, compositeur et réalisateur depuis plus de 12 ans maintenant. Au fil des années, il s'est créé un réseau autour de lui qui est rempli de grandes personnes et d'artistes talentueux. Tout a commencé par la rencontre de Guy Tourville, l'un des réalisateurs les plus prolifiques et respecté du Canada. C'est avec lui qu'il a appris les aspects techniques et les besoins artistiques nécessaires lors de l'enregistrement et la réalisation d'un album. William a travaillé pendant 7 années au coté de M. Tourville. En parallèle, il prenait des leçons privées avec l'orchestrateur de renom Gilles Ouellet. C'est à ce moment qu'il apprenait à travailler avec un orchestre symphonique et ses principes de bases. Gilles Ouellet a travaillé parmi les légendes du métier, David Foster, George Martin, Céline Dion, Diane Dufresne et plusieurs autres. Depuis ce temps, il travaille sur différents projets avec plusieurs artistes établies soit à la radio ou à l'écran.

“Apprendre à connaitre la personnalité des gens avec qui je travaille est quelque chose que je prime beaucoup. Faire en sorte qu’une chanson soit aimée par le plus grand public possible. Là est l’objectif que je me donne lorsque je travaille avec un artiste.”
